Scholarship Information
Each year, in June, the Spaceport Chapter of the 99s awards the
Mary Blackwell - Ann Walker Memorial Scholarship,
in the amount of $1500.

To be eligible an applicant must be: 1) female, 2) at least 18 years old, 3) at least a Private Pilot, 4) living in, or be a permanent resident of The 99s Southeast Section, 5) of financial need, and 6) must have a desire to make aviation her career. (The 99s Southeast Section includes FL, GA, NC, SC, AL, MS, LA and TN.)

Applications are mailed to the Chairman of each 99s Chapter in the Southeast Section, to the Scholarship Office of colleges and universities with aviation programs in the Southeast Section, and to anyone who requests a copy. The application is also available on this website by clicking the "Application" button below. This mailing is done in early March. Completed applications must be postmarked between March 1st and May 1st. A panel of three judges evaluates all applications and determines the winner. All applicants are notified of the judges decision.
