Florida Spaceport 99s


Scholarship Information

Each year, in June, the Spaceport Chapter of the 99s awards the Mary Blackwell - Anne Walker Memorial Scholarship, in the amount of $1500.

To be eligible an applicant must be: 1) a female, 2) at least 18 years old, 3) at least a Private Pilot, 4) living in, or be a permanent resident of The 99s South East Section, 5) of financial need and 6) must have a desire to make aviation your career. (The 99s Southeast Section includes FL, GA, NC, SC, AL, MS, LA & TN.)

Applications are mailed to the Chairman of each 99s Chapter in the SE Section, to the Scholarship office of colleges and universities with aviation programs in the SE Section, and to anyone who requests a copy. This mailing is done in early March. Completed applications must be postmarked no later than May 1st. A panel of 3 judges evaluates all applications and determines the winner. All applicants are notified of the judges decision.
